  • Where to Stay

Although I did not stay here overnight, I spent two full days at La Luna Spa & Resort for a photo shoot and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an idyllic place to stay.

My first day was spent in one of their private villas, a bright, specious space with a fully equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a stunning balcony - and infinity pool - overlooking the bay.

The second day was spent at the resort which is comprised of colorful bungalows perched on the surrounding hill, perfectly appointed for incoming guests. ⁣⁣In them, each room is colorfully painted, a playful contrast to the greenery outside, and the bed is strategically placed so it faces the bay, offering a stunning view of the water below. The property also features a yoga/fitness pavilion steps from the water, an infinity pool ideal for leisurely floats and a bar that prepares the yummiest fruit cocktails and delicious food.

  • What to Do

My week-long work trip in Grenada didn’t allow for many leisurely activities but I did enjoy an afternoon sailing on the Jambalaya, a 73 feet traditional, handcrafted schooner. I spent my time on board sitting near Captain Monique, peppering her with questions about her adventures at sea. ⁣⁣Fearless, knowledgeable and assisted by a capable crew, she’s been sailing the Jambalaya for four years, helping guests curate a unique, luxury sailing experience - sunset cruises, diving and snorkeling adventures and even gourmet meals on board. There is truly nothing more magical than enjoying the calm rolling of the waves, the sails pulling tight against the breeze and the breathtaking view of the island from the water, making this an experience you don’t want to miss.

Nicknamed the “Spice Isle of the Caribbean”, Grenada boasts a vast production of spices. In the heart of Saint George, the island’s capital, you’ll find a bustling market where you can purchase cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and, just up the street, you’ll find the House of Chocolate. In this mini museum you’ll learn the chocolate-making process, taste some of the most delicious truffles and find wonderful souvenirs to bring home.
